Day 4

There is more to life than just the here and now

Since I was made to last forever, what is one thing I should stop doing and one thing I should start doing today?
Ahhhh... that is such a hard question. Giving up something is always hard... while I think I want to share some other things that stood out to me today. Whenever the topic of eternally being with Jesus if you are a believer, the fact that those that don't believe and trust Jesus as their Savior will spend eternity with out Him, in hell, is talked about, it makes me want to scream it from the roof tops. We can joke about it, make light of it, not want to ruin friendships by sharing too much to make them uncomfortable, but at the same time, I don't want to just do nothing, I totally agree with lifestyle evangelism, but am i saying enough?

I have been wanting to hone in better on what my purpose looks like on a daily basis, I want to do everything with a positive attitude, and to the Glory of God. So maybe I'll give up complaining, now i know that i will totally mess up in this area, but if i start making a habit of looking at the positive, and not then negative in every situation, i will be on my way to being a more positive person, this world is temporary, why be negative when i can bless those around me by being positive?

How can this be?

On Monday October 29th I was talking to my good friend Katie. I was sharing with her my struggles of being a mom of 2 kids. It's a lot of work. I wasn't liking how I was responding to my kids and how I really wanted to change that. She had to go, but said she would call back so we could chat some more. My kiddos were still napping, so I took that moment. I took out my Bible, a book I had just finished reading, Taking Care of the Me in Mommy , and some note cards and started writing down Bible verses that I thought would encourage me to be a better mom. I also found a blog and read this post about not feeling like a failure as a mom. I sat there and cried. What she wrote spoke to my heart. I looked around her blog a bit more, bookmarked it. His Mercies Are New Every Morning

We have something exciting to share with you. Nate was a big brother for about 1 week! I had a hunch over Thanksgiving.... and took a test to see, on our sweet Nathaniel's 9 month birthday, November 29th, and 4 weeks since he left us. It was POSITIVE!! We then went to get an ultrasound on the 20th of December. We saw our sweet new baby and heard a heartbeat. We are very excited, sad that Nathaniel wont be sharing this joy with us, and trying not to be scared at the realization of how quickly life can change so fresh in our mind.Nate will never be forgotten and holds such a special place in our hearts.  Please pray for us on this journey.

Here comes baby number THREE!!

*This is a little late, seeing that baby was born in August and I'm posting in December... but I wanted to go in chronological order with my thoughts... Ella had me convinced. Since the moment that we told Ella that she was going to be a big sister again she was confidant that it would be a girl. Sara. end of story. We like to wait until baby arrives to find out the gender. The first two times it was so much fun. We told Ella that we didn't know. It COULD be a brother, but we also didn't push the subject one way or another. She talked about 'Sara' so much that near the end I would catch myself referring to baby as, her, or even 'Sara'. People would ask what I thought, or which gender I would prefer. I had a girl, have had a boy.... I had feelings about either, but mostly said, 'I'm so glad I don't get to pick.'
